Ask Bruno for help with everyday admin questions

How authorised administrators use Bruno to ask plain-English questions about rota, attendance, leave and requests — without changing records.

Administrator

What Bruno is for

Bruno is ÁitFoirne’s administrator assistant. Where Bruno is enabled for your home, authorised administrators can ask everyday questions in simple English and get answers from live operational information.

Bruno helps you find information more quickly. Bruno does not replace management decisions, and Bruno does not provide clinical or medical advice.

Who can use Bruno

Bruno is available to authorised administrators where it is enabled for the organisation.

  • Ordinary Employee Portal users do not have Bruno access.
  • Having Bruno mentioned in a permission list does not by itself grant access to a normal employee.
  • If Bruno is not enabled, administrators may see it as unavailable, or it may not appear at all.

How to ask a good question

  • Use everyday English. You do not need technical commands.
  • Perfect grammar is not required.
  • Shorter, specific questions usually produce clearer answers.
  • Ask about one topic at a time when you can.
  • If Bruno is not confident, you can send the conversation to Support instead.

Verified example questions

These are examples of the kinds of questions Bruno is built to answer:

  • Who is clocked in right now?
  • Which requests still need approval?
  • Who is on annual leave today?
  • How far ahead is the rota published?
  • Are there any Worker Missing gaps today?
  • Any missing clock-ins today?
  • Give me an overview of today.

You can also ask how a feature works, for example how publishing the schedule works or how holiday requests work.

What Bruno will not do

  • Bruno does not change your records.
  • Bruno does not open a Support ticket for you unless you choose to send the conversation to Support.
  • Bruno does not perform unrestricted write actions such as publishing a schedule, approving a request, or editing clock times.
  • Bruno does not replace the official workflows in Schedule, Request Centre, Time Clock or Support.
  • Bruno does not give clinical or medical advice.

When you ask Bruno to perform a write action, Bruno explains the steps in the normal screens instead of doing the change.

Important notes

  • Bruno answers from the information available in ÁitFoirne for your organisation.
  • Worker Missing is a schedule placeholder for an unfilled shift, not a real employee.
  • Always check the live screen before making a management decision based on an answer.
  • For problems that need human follow-up, use the Support Center.

Questions people ask

Can employees use Bruno in the Employee Portal?

No. Bruno is for authorised administrators where it is enabled.

Does Bruno change the rota or approve requests?

No. Bruno is read-only. Approvals, publishing and clocking remain in the normal ÁitFoirne screens.

What if Bruno cannot answer?

You can send the conversation to Support so the issue and the details remain together.

Do I need exact wording?

No. Everyday English is enough. Specific, shorter questions usually work best.
